Why is the Death in the US Rising?

Will our children be the first generation in American history to not live longer than their parents generation?

Preliminary data released by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), suggests that the death rate rose in 2015.

The CDC also released numbers from one of the largest and broadest health surveys in the U.S., finding that this rising death rate is accompanied by a rising rate of obesity and diabetes.

The previous trend of declining death rates, have been attributed to medical diagnostic discoveries, medical treatment breakthroughs and nutritional advancements. That may now all be offset by obesity and diabetes. Even the best technology and treatment cannot overcome the effects of poor lifestyle choices.

The data from 2015 is preliminary and has not been completely broken down and evaluated.

What can be done is not complex. Here are 7 lifestyle choices that can make a difference:

1. Exercise regularly

2. Eat real food that is homemade, not junk food, fast food or pre-packaged food.

3. Eat plenty of vegetables, some fruits, moderate protein, low carbs, high healthy fats and plenty of fiber.

4. Drink lots of fresh pure water.

5. Get 8 hours of quality sleep per night.

6. Get out in fresh air and sunshine on a regular basis.

7. Work on managing your stress.

8. Avoid vices, such as excessive alcohol, cigarettes and drugs.
