Gathering Time to play at Riverside Rhythm & Rhyme
Beat the winter doldrums with an evening of original music, light refreshments and a glimpse into the world of the independent artist.
The Riverside Rhythm and Rhyme (RR&R) songwriter series is an eclectic coffee house/listening room showcasing local and regional singer-songwriters right in the heart of Roxbury Township. The next RR&R will take place on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at The Investors Bank Theatre at RoxPAC, 72 Eyland Avenue, Succasunna, NJ. The early evening show from 4 - 6 pm allows concert goers ample time after the performance to enjoy dinner out at any number of local food establishments in town.
Gathering Time, the February RR&R headliner, is “a folk-rock/Americana harmony trio [made up of band members Gerry McKeveny, Hillary Foxsong and Stuart Markus] that has been turning heads for nearly a decade on the northeastern folk circuit and beyond. With a vocal blend oft-described as seamless, inspired guitar playing and precise percussion, Stuart, Hillary and Gerry evince deep roots in ‘60s folk-rock, with a healthy dash of traditional folk in the mix. A night with Gathering Time will make evident why they were voted one of ‘Long Island’s Best’ by the Long Island Press.” – Retrieved from the band’s website at https://www.gathering-time.com/
Chasing June will open the show! The indie folk collaboration of Judy Aron and Steve Coleman, their co-written, harmony-filled songs and spirited up tempo live performances will bring a smile to your face and happiness to your heart!
