Randolph Student Earns Eagle Scout Honor After 140-Hour Community Service Project

RANDOLPH, NJ — Randolph has a new Eagle Scout — and she made her mark by transforming a critical community resource in the process.

Cassiopeia Torres of Troops 109 and 901 was welcomed into the ranks of Eagle Scouts during her Court of Honor ceremony last week, with Mayor Mark H. Forstenhausler, an Eagle Scout himself, presiding over the occasion.

To earn Scouting's highest achievement, Torres partnered with EDGE New Jersey to overhaul a supply storage space, more than doubling its capacity and improving its functionality for community support efforts.

She coordinated more than 140 hours of volunteer work on the project, which the township cited as an example of the leadership, creativity, and commitment that define the honor.

The Township Council congratulated Torres on the accomplishment and thanked her for her service to the Randolph community.
