• Readington book battle grows so heated police will stay at meetings (mycentraljersey.com) — Readington families will see a police officer at every Board of Education meeting for the rest of the year as debate intensifies over whether to remove "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" from the K-8 district library. Residents, candidates, and free-speech advocates are sharply divided ahead of an October vote, while a review committee studies the book and possible restrictions.
   

• PFAS Compound Readington Water Woes (tapinto.net) — Readington Township residents near Forty Oaks and Thor Solberg roads are grappling with PFAS-contaminated wells while still awaiting broader testing and support from state and county agencies. Local officials say they're getting little information from regulators as families rely on filtration systems and bottled water, and the township also seeks answers on E. coli found in Rockaway Creek and Lake Cushetunk.
