3 Reports Of Stolen Car Parts, Art Theft: Red Bank PD Blotter

RED BANK, NJ — Several instances of “criminal mischief” were reported last month in Red Bank, authorities said.

According to the Red Bank Police Department, the following incidents were reported in the borough.

  • March 1 – Patrol units responded to a theft report near W. Westside Av. The catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle, according to the owner. The owner had no idea how much the stolen part was worth. Ptl. Andrew Todd took the report.
  • March 2 – A theft report was taken by the patrol unit in the Carmen Pl. area. The theft of a catalytic converter from a vehicle was reported by the owner. The part was worth $2000.00. The report was taken by Ptl. Michael Zadlock.
  • March 3 – In the area of W. Bergen Pl. an employee of a business report the theft of a catalytic converter from a vehicle owned by the business. No value was given to the stolen part. Ptl Taylor Doremus took the report.
  • March 3 – A patrol unit took a report of theft from a business in the area of E. Front St. The theft of a gold-plated necklace was reported by the business's owner. The necklace was worth $200.00. Ptl. Andrew Todd handled the report.
  • March 11 – A patrol unit responded to a report of a bicycle theft near Shrewsbury Avenue. A red and black Kink Curb BMX style bicycle, valued at $394.51, was stolen from a property's backyard, according to the owner. Ptl. Jhonatan Quispe handled the report.
  • Mach 25 – A business on Bodman Pl. reported theft. An employee reported the theft of several pieces of artwork. Two 25" x 46" paintings valued at $7100.00 and a 40" x 30" piece of art valued at $1810.00 were among the stolen items. Ptl. Jhonatan Quispe handled the report.
  • March 25 – A patrol unit responded to a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle in the Bridge Av. area. Four tires on a vehicle were slashed, according to the vehicle's owner. The tires were worth $1,000.00. Ptl. Jhonatan Quispe handled the report.
  • March 27 – A patrol unit responded to a report of criminal mischief involving a motor vehicle. A large scratch on the driver's side of a vehicle was reported in the Carmen Pl. area by the owner of the vehicle. The cost of the vehicle damage is unknown. Ptl. Jhonatan Quispe handled the report.
  • March 31 – An employee of a business in the White St. area reported a shoplifting incident. According to the employee, an unknown subject stole $1200.00 in clothing from the store. Ptl Froilan Hernandez handled the report.
