RED BANK, NJ — This week's edition of Red Bank's Movie at Riverside Gardens Park has been cancelled due to inclement weather, the Division of Parks & Recreation recently announced.
The event is part of the borough's summer movie series, which typically takes place Tuesdays at dusk.
With the cancellation of Tuesday night's showing of "Back to the Future," the next movie in the park scheduled to take place will be "Superman" on August 11.
"Due to the pending weather, we have decided to cancel tonight's movie at Riverside Gardens Park," the division said in an online post. "We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding."
According to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service (NWS), there's a risk of flash flooding, damaging winds and tornadoes throughout the Garden State on Tuesday.
Additionally, the slight risk for severe thunderstorms issued has been expanded farther north across eastern Pennsylvania and portions of southern and central New Jersey.
To stay safe, forecasters recommend you monitor the latest forecasts and make sure you can receive watches and warnings.
