Community Rallies To Replace ‘Beloved Bobbleheads’ Damaged In NJ Borough Hall Incident
"Let's come together and restore a little happiness," fundraiser organizers said. "One bobblehead at a time."

RED BANK, NJ — Following a Friday night incident that left multiple windows broken at Borough Hall, the Red Bank community is coming together to replace a collection of "beloved bobbleheads" that always bring a smile to visitors.
Around 9 p.m. on Friday, a man wielding a metal pipe caused “significant damage” to four of the front windows of Borough Hall, impacting the Finance Office area, Borough Manager James Gant said.
As a result of this incident, a collection of solar bobbleheads that were inside the office was lost, and now, the local community is rallying to help replace them.

“These bobbleheads weren’t just decorations,” a GoFundMe to replace the bobbleheads reads. “They were a small but special part of Borough Hall that made people smile — residents, visitors, and especially children who loved stopping to watch them dance in the sunlight.”
“Over time, they became a lighthearted symbol of our community’s spirit," fund organizers said. "We’re coming together to restore that joy.”

According to the online fundraiser, the organizer’s goal is to purchase 50 new solar bobbleheads to bring back the display and make it “even bigger and better than before.”
Any funds raised beyond the cost of the bobbleheads will be donated to Lunch Break, a local charity to support those in need in Monmouth County and beyond.
“This is about more than replacing what was lost,” fund organizers said. “It’s about showing that Red Bank stands strong, supports one another, and finds ways to bring joy even after setbacks.”
“If you’re able, please consider donating or sharing this campaign. Let’s come together and restore a little happiness — one bobblehead at a time.”
As of Tuesday morning, the GoFundMe has raised $255. The fundraiser's goal is set at $700.

Following the Friday night incident at Borough Hall, the suspect was identified as Shavani Green, 25, according to a report from the Asbury Park Press.
After Green failed to follow commands from police who responded to the incident, borough officials said he was subdued with a taser and taken into custody.
He was then charged with criminal mischief, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, and attempted escape from custody, officials said.
