Crack Cocaine Seized From Home Near Red Bank Primary School
Red Bank police executed a narcotics search warrant at a Bank Street residence Friday, recovering a "significant quantity" of crack cocaine.
RED BANK, NJ - A “significant quantity” of crack cocaine was recovered at a Red Bank residence Friday, authorities said.
According to a statement from Police Chef Darren McConnell, officers from the Red Bank Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant at a Bank Street residence on Friday, recovering a “significant quantity” of crack cocaine. In addition to the narcotics, approximately $5,000 in cash was also seized.
As a result of this investigation, Delkeith Birch, 43, of Red Bank was charged with the following offenses listed by Red Bank police:

- Possession with intent to distribute over five ounces of crack cocaine, a first degree crime
- Possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance within 1,000 feet of school property, a third degree crime
- Possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance within 500 feet of public housing, a second degree crime
- Possession of a controlled dangerous substance (crack cocaine), a third degree crime
- Possession of drug paraphernalia, a disorderly persons offense.
Birch's record dates back to at least 2010, in which he was taken into custody in Inglewood on suspicion of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. As Patch previously reported, he was arrested in May 2012 in the area of River Street for terroristic threats, resisting arrest and aggravated assault.
