Family Fireworks on the Navesink Raises Nearly $100,000 for Riverview Medical Center

The evening delivered torrential downpours, but that didn’t stop The DiPiero Family from hosting the Third Annual Family Fireworks on the Navesink and raising nearly $100,000 on Saturday, June 27 to benefit the programs and services at Riverview Medical Center.

Riverview Medical Center is embarking on a historic building project, renovating and expanding the Cancer Center in the Booker Pavilion, leveraging the strength of the Medical Center’s impressive cancer care program to further bolster the services available in our local community. “As the premier fundraising event for Riverview Medical Center, the funds raised at the Family Fireworks on the Navesink supports our mission and further strengthens our community’s well-being,” shares Timothy J. Hogan, regional hospital president for Monmouth County.

Nancy Mulheren, chairperson of Riverview Medical Center Foundation says, “I’m overwhelmed by the amount of support we received on Saturday. The weather was working against us, but the community and event committee rallied and made it an extremely successful and memorable event.”

Despite the challenging weather, over 240 people attended the sold out event on June 27, 2015 at the beautiful DiPiero Family home on the picturesque Navesink River and enjoyed BBQ, a variety of food trucks, games and a spectacular fireworks show that lit up the Navesink.

“This event continues to grow and proves to be an outstanding display of generosity in our area,” explains event chair and Riverview Medical Center Foundation trustee, Hilary DiPiero. “On behalf of the event committee, we’re honored be a part of such a worthy cause that helps deliver great health care, close to home.”
