Hair Color Bar In Shrewsbury Expands Madison Reed Jersey Imprint

SHREWSBURY, NJ — The Madison Reed Hair Color Bar, known for its at-home kits, has offered an in-person experience at The Grove in Shrewsbury since it opened in late May, according to a news release from the company.

The company's business was popularized, the company said, during COVID with its ammonia-free, at-home hair color kits.

This year, Madison Reed has been focusing on opening professional in-person hair color bars, the company noted.

The Shrewsbury store opened right before Memorial Day, and a Montclair location opened in July. The company also has a Paramus location, bringing its New Jersey presence to three stores.

A company spokesperson said the company began to explore brick-and-mortar locations before the pandemic with 12 stores, but had to temporarily close them with onset of the COVID threat.

Now Madison Reed has more than 65 stores open nationwide, she said in the news release.

The Hair Color Bar offers "salon-quality hair color services like root touch-ups, all-over color, gloss treatments, highlights, and more at an affordable price," the company said.

Shvonne Perkins, master colorist, said the company "embraces meeting our clients where they are, which means they can come see us at our Hair Color Bars, or order the color for home use and it’s the exact same product."
