Hispanic Heritage Festival A First For Red Bank
Come to Johnny Jazz Park Saturday evening for the first annual Hispanic Heritage Festival in Red Bank.

RED BANK, NJ — Enjoy the borough's first Hispanic Heritage Festival Saturday evening, Sept. 24, at Johnny Jazz Park on Shrewsbury Avenue.
The festival runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is hosted by the Red Bank Parks and Recreation Department, said Oscar Salinas, director of the department.

- Live music by Xol Azul Band
- Special performances
- Guest speakers
- Vendors and food
Participants include the Red Bank Charter School Students, performing a traditional Mexican dance.
Also featured is Brenda Codallos, Red Bank Resident and former member of the Brookdale Community College Dreamers, RBR Dreamers; Red Bank elected officials; and Felipe Concha, the Salvation Army, Red Bank Corps.

Hispanic Heritage Month is a national recognition that takes place Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 every year as a time to celebrate the many contributions, diverse cultures and extensive histories of the American Latino community.
This year's theme is "Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation."
