The campaign raises funds for the hospital's new surgical center.

Riverview Medical Center recently announced a new approach and new name for its ongoing capital campaign to raise funds for its 22,000-square foot center for surgical excellence at the Blaisedell Pavilion.

Called “Life. Changing.” the new name draws attention to the importance of the hospital’s role in the community and hopes that the positive relationships formed with families throughout the greater Red Bank area leads to continued support, this time in the form of donations.

The campaign has already raised more than $10.4 million in private donations towards its minimum goal of $15 million, a release said. Included in the donations are a $5 million gift from Joan and Bob Rechnitz, a $1 million gift from campaign co-chair George Kolber and family, and another $500,000 from campaign co-chair Domenic DiPiero and family.
