Pediatric Surgeon From Red Bank Charged With Molesting 3 More Patients: Prosecutor

The new victims came forward after he was indicted in July; authorities urge other victims to contact them.

FREEHOLD, NJ – A pediatric surgeon from Red Bank who practices in Eatontown has been charged with criminal sexual contact involving four more of his underage patients, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said.

Dr. Saad Saad, 72, of Red Bank, also is facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child in all four cases, said Charles Webster, spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

The three new victims came forward after Saad was indicted in July on charges of criminal sexual contact with a 17-year-old patient, Gramiccioni said.

The three new cases involved pediatric patients who were between 14 and 17, Webster said. The incidents were reported to have occurred during examinations at Saad's office, he said.

The Eatontown Police Department and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Bureau are investigating.

Saad faces up to 18 months in state prison if he is convicted on each count of criminal sexual contact, and five to 10 years on each count of endangering the welfare of a child, Webster said.
