The Ned Robinson Memorial Fund Committee is in “full swing” planning the 21st Annual Ned Scramble Golf Outing and aims to make it a banner year for this very special event.
The Ned Scramble honors the memory of Ned Robinson, (RBC ‘77), who lost his life in a tragic accident in April 1995. A few months after his death, a group of Ned’s friends and family members began the golf outing as a way to celebrate and honor Ned’s life with the goal of helping some students have the opportunity to attend his beloved high school, Red Bank Catholic.

Ned’s sister Kathleen recalls how “high school was such a big part of Ned’s life. RBC meant the world to him, and to all of us. We knew it took dedication for our parents to put eleven of us through RBC,” adding, “We realized that and knew there were kids out there whose parents could not afford to send them to RBC.” The Ned Robinson Memorial Foundation Committee selects scholarship recipients based on financial need.
Since its inception, the Ned Robinson Memorial Fund has helped more than 35 students attend Red Bank Catholic. This year’s recipient is Mario Flego, whose older siblings all attended RBC.
