Red Bank First Fridays Are Back, Beginning June 7

RED BANK, NJ — Red Bank RiverCenter announces the annual Red Bank First Friday events are back this summer, kicking off this Friday, June 7!

More than 20 shops and eateries and seven galleries will keep their doors open until 9 p.m. on select Friday evenings in Red Bank this summer, so guests can experience a myriad of art venues, shops, food and more!

The event is free to attend and will take place on June 7, July 5, August 2, and September 6.

“First Fridays Red Bank is a self-guided night of experiencing some fantastic art venues and trying something new,” said James Scavone, Executive Director of Red Bank RiverCenter. “It’s an opportunity for locals and visitors to ease their way into the first weekend of the month by checking out Red Bank’s art community and doing some shopping before and after dinner.”

Participating art galleries are: Art Alliance of Monmouth County, Beacon Fine Art Gallery, Chetkin Gallery, Detour Gallery, Frame to Please Gallery, Gallery at the Oyster Point Hotel and Stillwell House Fine Art & Antiques. Admission to the galleries is free, and designed to be fun for the whole family.

The Local Line, 16 Wallace St, has scheduled a hands-on candle making session from 6 to 8 p.m., contact the store for details. Frame to Please Gallery will use the June 7 date to launch its new opening with photographic images from Sports Illustrated legend Mike Kupka and rock and roll photographer Mark Weiss.

Held predominantly in the Red Bank RiverCenter district, the monthly event brings together collectors, artists and community friends for an evening of fun. Featuring a variety of art galleries, art businesses and eclectic shopping, First Fridays Red Bank offers an ever-changing array of art exhibits and opportunities to meet artists and make your own artistic creations.

First Fridays make the perfect date night, starting with a cocktail, coffee or early dinner at one of the sidewalk cafes. Leisurely browse artwork at any of the local galleries, enjoy a late dinner or nightcap in RiverCenter’s unique restaurants or bars. For those who like to linger even later, stay for the live entertainment.

Held until 9 p.m., rain or shine, on the first Friday of the month, this event is sure to entertain and delight visitors with a plethora of experiences. Attendees can grab a map and explore the galleries on their own, or jump aboard one of the Scooter Dudes six-seater, three-wheeled scooters golf carts (fee required) and ride to the galleries.
