Red Bank Police Joins Conversation on Law Enforcement Reform
Red Bank and Long Branch police will join a virtual forum on Monday to discuss law enforcement reform in the wake of George Floyd's death.
RED BANK, NJ – Law enforcement officials and members of the community will participate in a virtual forum Monday evening to discuss law enforcement reform and the dynamic between police officers and civilians. The conversation, which will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., is set to take place via Zoom video conferencing.
Joining in on the discussion include Sen. Vin Gopal (D-Long Branch), Red Bank Mayor Pat Menna, Long Branch Mayor John Moor and Long Branch Council President & President of NAACP of Greater Long Branch Bill Dangler. Law enforcement officials such as PBA State President Pat Colligan, Red Bank Chief of Police Darren McConnell and Long Branch Chief of Police Jason Roebuck are also slated to be in attendance.
The virtual event will be moderated by Dyese Davis, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Sen. Vin Gopal.

The Monday evening conversation marks the third panel in a series of community discussions throughout Monmouth County. Previous meetings included Freehold Borough & Freehold Township and Asbury Park & Neptune Township. Each panel is open to the public for viewing.
