Red Bank Public Library Awarded Historical Preservation Grant
Monmouth County recently designated Red Bank Public Library as a "fine example of historic architecture."
RED BANK, NJ — The recipients of the Monmouth County Historical Commission's 2022 Historic Preservation Awards have been announced, and the Red Bank Public Library is among them.
The Red Bank Public Library, on 84 W Front St, was honored for its Eisner House Exterior Painting. In a news release, the county called it a “fine example of historic architecture.”
The library was originally built in 1856 by a man named Stacey Pitcher and was later purchased in 1906 by Sigmund and Bertha Eisner. After their deaths, the family then donated the home to the Borough of Red Bank as the Eisner Memorial Library.
