Riverview Hospital In Red Bank Continues AC Repairs
As of Thursday, Red Bank police say there has been a partial repair of an air conditioning breakdown at areas of Riverview Medical Center.

RED BANK, NJ — As of late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, one of two air conditioning units at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank have been repaired, restoring the air conditioning to both the emergency room and ICU floors, Capt. Michael Frazee of the Red Bank Police Department said Thursday.
Work is being performed on the second unit and should be back to normal operations by late Thursday afternoon, he said. The hospital continues to remain "on divert," he added. A hospital spokesperson was not immediately available to update the situation.
Some of the air conditioning units at Riverview Medical Center stopped working Wednesday morning — in the middle of summer's most severe heat wave. Patients were relocated to other hospitals, according to a hospital spokesman. Patients were moved to parts of the hospital that did have air conditioning as well as to other nearby hospitals.
