$1,500 Donated To Glen Rock High School Relay For Life Fundraiser

The money will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Funds will be used to help support cancer victims and fund cancer research.

GLEN ROCK, N.J. — More than $1,500 has already been donated to the Glen Rock High School Relay for Life fundraiser and the event is more than four months away. The annual event will culminate in June, hopefully raising thousands of dollars for the American Cancer Society.

Relay for Life is a national event held at thousands of high schools throughout the United States. The student-led walks are typically held in May and June. Cancer survivors, their families and members of the community walk around high school tracks all day and night to raise money to help cancer victims and fund cancer research. A moving candlelight luminaria ceremony is held at night, honoring cancer victims.

The Glen Rock High School event is June 10 and 11. The goal is to raise $65,000.
