1 Injured, Driver Charged In Franklin Lakes Crash: Prosecutor

A Ridgewood man has been with DWI after a crash that sent one person to Hackensack University Medical Center.

FRANKLIN LAKES — One person was injured, and a Ridgewood man was charged with driving while intoxicated following a car crash in Franklin Lakes.

George Hill, 47, was arrested and charged with one count of assault by auto, as well two motor vehicle violations, driving while intoxicated and reckless driving after Franklin Lakes Police responded to the site of a single-car crash.

Hill, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, crashed his Jeep Wrangler into a tree at the Indian Trail Club on Franklin Lake Road.

A 40-year-old woman who was in the front passenger seat, also of Ridgewood but not identified by name in the report, was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center with serious injuries. She is in stable condition, according to the prosecutor's office.

Hill is scheduled for a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on Friday, July 3.
