The State Police reported on Saturday that a Toms River man died in a motorcycle crash overnight.

Earlier, it was reported that a 22-year-old man died after he was struck by a train Friday evening as they crossed a trestle in Phillipsburg, according to Lehigh Valley Live.

The accident happened about 6:45 p.m., and the bikers had been going in the same direction as the westbound train, a Norfolk Southern spokeswoman told the publication. The victim was not identified as of press time..

The publication reported how people tearfully embraced each other as police stood near the accident scene.

In a separate crash, a Hamilton man was killed after he crashed his car while passing a tractor-trailer on a highway in Pennsylvania Friday evening, police told nj.com.

Alex Quinones, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on I-95 in Middletown Township, Pa.. Quinones was driving southbound on the highway around 11:30 p.m. at a high rate of speed, when he tried to pass a tractor-trailer on the shoulder of the road. Quinones lost control of his car, went off the right side of the road and hit a signpost, police said, according to the publication.

Also on Friday night, a three-car collision on Route 4 Friday night sent four people to the hospital with injuries, Paramus police told nj.com.

A Honda sedan was disabled and stopped on the westbound side of Route 4 when a second car attempted to brake behind it but was struck by truck, according to the publication. 67-year-old male driver of the Hyundai and a 58-year-old woman were injured.
