3rd Community Organization Endorses 3 Ridgewood Candidates

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — A third community organization has endorsed Jeff Voigt, Bernadette Coughlan-Walsh, and Ramon Hache for election to the Village Council.

Citizens for a Better Ridgewood, a local grassroots group, said its members met with the six people running in this year’s election.

The organization echoed similar sentiments as the previous two groups, Friends of Schedler and the Concerned Residents of Ridgewood, both of which announced their endorsements of Voigt, Coughlan-Walsh, and Hache this week.

All three groups have said that these candidates will listen to residents’ concerns and before making decisions and be independent voices on the council.

“We believe Jeff, Bernadette, and Ramon will make decisions that protect and improve the quality of life of Ridgewood residents, as the next Village Council addresses opportunities and challenges that will impact us all,” said Citizens Trustee Amy Bourque.

Trustee Lori Weil said that the candidates, “trust they are best prepared to move toward the future while still maintaining the charm and character of our Village.”

Friends of Schedler is a group of residents who live in the Schedler neighborhood. The group said the three people would “run a government of inclusion… on all of the issues that impact the entire village.”

Concerned Residents of Ridgewood said the three will not treat applications for changes in local lad use “as higher authorities than our own residents.”
