6 Ridgewood Students Qualify For National AP Scholar Award
130 other students were named Advanced Placement scholars based on how they performed on AP tests taken in May.

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — More than 130 students were named Advanced Placement Scholars by the College Board in recognition of their performances on the Advance Placement examinations in May.
Of the 136 students, six qualified for the National AP Scholar Award. They earned an average score of four, out of five, on eight or more exams.
Twenty-nine students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning scores of three or more on four or more exams and an average grade of 3.25 on all exams.

Fifty-one students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by earning a score of three or more on at least three exams.
Twenty-one recipients are juniors.

About 18 percent of the more than 1.9 million high school students worldwide who took Advanced Placement exams this year performed at a sufficiently high level to merit recognition.
