7 Women Accuse Ridgewood Rock Star Of Sexual Misconduct: Reports
Matt Mondanile, the former Real Estate guitarist, was dismissed from the band amid allegation of 'unacceptable treatment of women.'

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Matt Mondanile, the former member of the band Real Estate, has been accused of sexual misconduct against at least seven women, according to a report on SPIN.com.
The allegations involve Mondanile, who also performs under the solo name of Ducktails, reportedly kissing, touching and groping the women without their consent, according to the SPIN.com report, including two of them while they were sleeping.
One woman who met Mondanile during a show in Brooklyn in 2013 said in the report, said he pushed her into a broom closet and began "aggressively" kissing her.

He later met the woman again and took her to his family's Ridgewood home where he tried to "move closer" to her while she fought to stay awake, according to the report.
Nine upcoming tour dates for Mondanile's band Ducktails have been cancelled amid the allegations, Brooklynvegan.com reported.

Woodsist, a record label Ducktails had worked with previously said on Twitter that it would "no longer be worked with Mondanile or Ducktails" and called his alleged actions "inexcusable."

Women and fans of Mondanile expressed their dislike of him on Twitter after the allegations surfaced.
