Bergen Brothers Charged With Burglary Following Task Force Investigation: Prosecutor
Tyrone and Travis Goins were arrested after a 3-month investigation into burglaries in the eastern part of Bergen County.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Detectives from several towns on a special task force helped arrest a serial burglar and his brother after a 3-month investigation, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced Saturday.
Travis Goins, 32, of Englewood and Tyrone Goins, 37, of Hackensack were arrested after a burglary in Cliffside Park Thursday night, Grewal said. They are brothers, The Daily Voice reported.
The arrests are the culmination of a task force that was formed after several burglaries occurred in the eastern part of the county. The task force was composed of detectives from the Fort Lee, Paramus, Cliffside Park, Tenafly, Saddle River and Teaneck police departments.

Detectives were surveilling in Cliffside Park when the brothers were spotted in a vehicle going around the same residential blocks for a while, Grewal said. After the vehicle left, detectives confirmed that a burglary occurred on Washington Avenue. Police were able to find the vehicle and conducted a motor vehicle stop, he said.
Tyrone and Travis Goins were each charged with two counts of burglary: One count for the Cliffside Park burglary and the other for a burglary on West End Avenue in Cliffside Park April 27, the prosecutor said. Authorities are continuing the investigation and more charges are expected.
