Bergen Cardsharks Place 135th And 215th In World Series Of Poker
New Jersey man is in second place after six days of $60 million tournament.
Bergen County poker players take note. If Keith Donovan or Michael Laufer show up at your home game, it might be time to cash in your chips while you’re ahead.
On Monday, Donovan, a New Milford resident, and Laufer, from Upper Saddle River, finished in 135th and 215th place, respectively, 3at the 46th Annual “World Series of Poker” event, held at Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
For his win, Donovan will collect $46,890. Laufer will win $40,433.

According to WSOP records, Donovan has earned nearly $92,000 from WSOP and circuit tournaments in his career. It was Laufer’s first WSOP appearance.
This year’s tournament – which attracts some of the most talented and high profile poker players in the world – is being held at Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Homdel, New Jersey resident Mozheng “Matt” Guan is in second place with more than $14.2 million in chips.
