Bergen Co. Man Charged After Recording Child Sex Act: Prosecutor

A Little Ferry man endangered the welfare of a child by causing a child to engage in a sexual act while recording it, prosecutors said.

LITTLE FERRY, NJ — A Little Ferry man faces charges after the Bergen County Prosecutor said he engaged in sexual acts with a child, while also recording it.

Roberto Carlos Mancia was arrested on Dec. 23 on charges related to the production and possession of child pornography.

Mancia was previously investigated in August, when the NJ Division of Child Protection and Permanency contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child. Detectives ultimately determined that he also endangered the welfare of a child by causing a child to engage in a sexual act while recording it, prosecutors said.
