Bergen Professional Baseball Player To Sign Books Sunday

Mike Just was won of the best high school players in the state.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Former professional baseball player Mike Just will sign copies of his new book "Just Baseball" at Bookends bookstore in Ridgewood Sunday.

Just, the owner of Just Hits in Westwood, will be at the store at 3 p.m. Just Hits offers baseball and softball instruction for young players.

Just, of Woodland Park, was known as Mr. Automatic in high school. He was named to the all-state team after hitting .523 at St. Joseph Regional High School. He was All-Big-South Conference.

He played Division I baseball at Liberty University where he hit .379 and won a batting title. According to the NCAA, in 2004 Mike was 12th in the nation in hardest to strike out.

Just signed with the River City Rascals in the Frontier League of Professional Baseball. He was traded to the Northern League where he won another batting title while leading his team in batting average, steals and doubles. He was named Rookie of the Year in 2007.
