Black Bear Seen In Ridgewood Friday: Police
Breaking: The bear was seen at Van Emburgh and East Glen avenues and again later on Betty Court, police said.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Village police are monitoring a black bear that was seen twice in the village Friday.
The bear was first seen near the intersection of Van Emburgh and East Glen avenues at 11:45 a.m., police said. It was again spotted at 12:45 p.m. on Betty Court headed toward Ho-Ho-Kus.
Anyone who sees the bear is asked to call the Ridgewood Police Department at 201-652-3900.

A 148-pound black bear caused a commotion in Ridgewood and Paramus earlier this month. That bear was spotted twice in Paramus and again in Ridgewood the next day.
The bear climbed up a tree shot with two tranquilizer darts and moved to Morris County.
