UPDATE: 2 Dead Bodies Found In New Jersey Car, CO Poisoning Blamed: Cops
Police say they are investigating the discovery of two dead bodies in a car in New Jersey.
Police say they are investigating the discovery of two people who died of carbon monoxide poisoning in a car in New Jersey.
A 29-year-old man and a 24-year-old women, believed to be a New York City resident, died inside a parked 2003 Chevy Tracker on Overlook Ave in Hackensack.
Police did not report the names of the deceased, whose vehicle was running when they were together.
Emergency responders told Daily Voice that the couple were having sex inside the older-model SUV parked on the Hackensack street when they died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Hackensack police originally responded on a report of two people sleeping in a vehicle at approximately 8:20 a.m., police said.
Upon arrival, officers found the two victims deceased with no signs of struggle or violence, police said.
Further information will be pending the release of reports from the Bergen County Medical Examiners Office, and examination of the vehicle. Police are currently attempting to contact both victims' next of kin, police said.
Police covered over the car's windows while the scene was being examined
The car was found in a parking lot outside an apartment building in Hackensack, according to ABC7. The investigation is ongoing.
