#CareCardsforCoronaCaregivers Help a Healthcare Worker: A $5 Gift Card for Coffee Goes a Long Way
If you want to say "thank you" to a healthcare worker, an easy way is to give them a gift card. These workers are on the front lines of the war against the coronavirus. Hospitals in our area are extremely stressed as we have the highest rate of COVID-19 in the state and NJ is #3 in the country. Putting aside the lack of necessary equipment, hospitals are feeding their workers, providing childcare and working overtime just to keep things going. Maintenance, food workers, clerical, volunteers, all are being asked to do more. Gift cards are a great way to show you care and also provide them with something they need.
A spokesperson for Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck said that, "Gift cards will be very helpful. They can used them for coffee, food, or other things they need." She also said that "they already have a gift card program in place and can make sure the workers get the cards of their choice."
