Death Of 2-Year-Old Child Investigated By Bergen County Prosecutor
Police in Bergen County say an unresponsive 2-year-old child was taken to the hospital Sunday, where the toddler was pronounced dead.
BERGENFIELD, NJ — The death of a 2-year-old child in a private home in Bergenfield is being investigated by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Bergenfield Police Department, prosecutors said Sunday.
Prosecutor Mark Musella said that at approximately 5:20 p.m., the Bergenfield Police Department responded to a 911 call regarding an unresponsive 2-year-old child on Brook Street.
The child was transported to Holy Name Medical Center and later pronounced deceased, prosecutors said in a release.

No other information is available, prosecutors said Sunday.
News 12 reported that police said there was no suspicion of foul play, but prosecutors declined to confirm that or other media accounts that quoted anonymous sources.
