Officials Outline 'Major Needs' For Ridgewood Library: Report
A performing arts center, bigger children's and teen sections, more meeting rooms, and improved lighting may be coming soon.

Ridgewood library officials are working on ways to improve patrons’ experiences and have identified a few ways that can be accomplished.
Director Nancy Greene said that the library needs to use its floor space more efficiently and have more ”natural light” in the building, NorthJersey.com reported.
Book stacks will be condensed and the additional space will allow the library to expand its children’s teen sections and create more meeting rooms, the website reported.

Greene said the library needs to have ”welcoming” light for patrons, many of whom stay in the library rather than take a book home to read, the report said.
Library trustees are also considering constructing a performing arts center next to the library and Village Hall, the report states.
