Unitarian Society of Ridgewood Hosts a Talk on Education Justice, Tues., Sept. 18 with Jan Resseger, lay minister, United Church of Christ

Jan Resseger, a nationally known writer and leader in the field of education justice, will speak on Tues. evening, Sept. 18 at the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood.

In her talk, entitled "Poverty, Inequality, and Public Education," Resseger will address the need to pursue education reforms for fairness and justice.

While New Jersey has addressed public school inequality through Abbott, racial and economic injustice crosses state boundaries.  We face a multi-state budget crisis, widespread child poverty, and widening inequality, but leaders in both political parties only seem to blame teachers and propose schemes for privatization, Resseger says.
