Fallen Tree Closes Road In Ridgewood; New Storm Coming
Ridgewood will hold emergency bulk trash pickup following flooding this week. A new storm is on the way.
RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Police responded on Wednesday when a tree became uprooted in Ridgewood, falling across the road.
Luckily, no one was injured when the tree fell on North Monroe Street, according to photographer Boyd A. Loving's account of the incident on Facebook.
The uprooting followed a massive storm Tuesday night that caused flooding and closed at least 10 other roads in Ridgewood.

However, all roads reopened later in the morning, the village said.
The village said they will hold post-flooding emergency trash collection for the rest of the week.

Another storm is expected to dump 1-2 inches of rain on Bergen County late Friday night. See links below to track the storms.
River Flooding
The Saddle River rose to 10.24 feet early Wednesday. Flood stage is 5.5. Major flooding is 8 feet or more.
The Ramapo River rose to 13.5 feet, two feet over flood stage.
Rainfall reports from NWS spotters said Glen Rock and nearby towns got more than 3 inches of rain during the storm.
