FEMA Disaster Survivor Assistance Teams Come To Bergen County: Here's Where
There are now a number of locations across the county where residents can get help as Tropical Storm Ida recovery efforts continue.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — The Federal Office of Emergency Management is sending Disaster Survivor Assistance Teams to municipalities across Bergen County over the course of the next week.
These teams will be on hand to answer questions, assist with registration for FEMA Individual Assistance, and conduct inquiries on the status of existing applications.
According to county officials, these dates are supplemental to the disaster recovery center that opened in the Bergen Community College Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack.

The disaster recovery center is located on the first floor of the learning center, at 355 Main St., Hackensack, NJ. It will be open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until further notice. Parking is available on Berry Street.

Bergen County residents and business owners can also apply for disaster relief directly by visiting www.DisasterAssistance.gov, by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), or 1-800-462-7585 (TTY) for the hearing and speech impaired.
The toll-free telephone numbers will operate from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (local time).
