FEMA Assistance Teams Coming To Ridgewood

Assistance teams have been aiding residents across the county, and now FEMA representatives are coming to Ridgewood on Saturday.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The Federal Office of Emergency Management has sent Disaster Survivor Assistance Teams to municipalities across Bergen County over the course of the last week, and representatives are scheduled to be in Ridgewood on Saturday.

These teams will be on hand to answer questions, assist with registration for FEMA Individual Assistance, and conduct inquiries on the status of existing applications.

Representatives are scheduled to be at Village Hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., set up in the patio area to the left of the main public entrance.

According to county officials, these dates are supplemental to the disaster recovery center that opened in the Bergen Community College Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack.

The center will host representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Small Business Administration, who can assist residents as they fill out applications for disaster relief.

The disaster recovery center is located on the first floor of the learning center, at 355 Main St., Hackensack, NJ. It will be open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until further notice. Parking is available on Berry Street.
