Five People Found Trespassing At Ridgewood's Habernickel Farm: Police
Here is the Ridgewood Police Department's summary of activity for the week.

- On Aug. 25, the owner of a shop located in the central business district reported that sometime between Aug. 1 and Aug. 25 the exterior of his building was damaged. The damage included a broken window as well as steel grating and a vent pipe. Ridgewood police detectives are investigating the matter.
- A Maltbie Avenue resident reported discovering Aug. 26 that his/her identity had been used to open several fraudulent accounts. Ridgewood police detectives are investigating the matter.
- A street sign located at Highwood Road and Carlisle Terrace was reported missing. Six village street signs were recovered in the Graydon Pool parking lot the next day, police said.
- Ridgewood police patrol units were dispatched to the Habernickel Farm on Aug. 26 at 10:30 p.m. on a citizen’s report of people trespassing. Five adult men, including four Ridgewood residents were located hiding at the rear of the property. Each man was issued a complaint for defiant trespass and released at the scene.
- On Thursday morning, a juvenile male Olivia Street resident called 911 to report that an unidentified adult male had entered his/her residence and was yelling loudly. The caller was home alone with their younger sibling when they heard the disturbance on the first floor of the home and dialed 911. Responding officers who found the front door of the home open immediately removed the juveniles from the inside before searching for the man.
As the residence was being searched, an officer at the scene observed that the door of a motor home parked in the resident’s yard was also open.
Craig E. Andrews, 48 of Ridgewood, subsequently approached officers outside the home shouting incoherently, Andrews, who was not wearing clothing, appeared agitated and continued to come closer aggressively approaching the officers and the juveniles.

Andrews was arrested at the scene and charged with burglary, criminal trespass, obstructing administration of law, lewdness, possession/being under the influence of marijuana, and possession of narcotics paraphernalia.
Bail was set at $40,000. It was posted by a family member and Andrews was released pending Ridgewood Municipal Court appearance.

North Maple Avenue resident reported Thursday that sometime overnight his/her unlocked parked car was entered and the door had been left ajar.
Nothing was taken from inside of the car but the person had left a blue Samsung Galaxy S3 cell phone inside of the vehicle. The matter is being investigated by the detective bureau.
- A Godwin Avenue resident reported Saturday that his/her bank account had been closed after several fraudulent charges had been made on it. The matter is being investigated by the detective bureau.
- A Bergenfield resident reported Sunday that sometime overnight a North Face backpack containing personal property had been removed from his motorcycle parked at Station Plaza. The victim’s backpack was later found abandoned behind a Godwin Avenue business with some of the property missing.
- A resident reported that the back window of his vehicle the smashed Monday while it was parked on Heights Road.
