Flooding, Wires Down On Bergen County Highways After Thunderstorm

Officials have reported flooding on Route 17 and wires down on another Bergen County highway after a thunderstorm soaked the area.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A severe thunderstorm is leaving the area, but the effects remain: Flooding on one highway, wires down on another, and flights at three New York City-area airports temporarily grounded.

NJ511 reported flooding on Route 17 in Ridgewood, north of Paramus Road. The right lane was closed as of 10:17 a.m. See updates here.

Officials also said wires were down on Route 4 in Paramus.
