Former Resident In Psych Hospital Placed Threatening School Call: Police
Police checked all public facilities and schools after a former borough resident in a Vermont psychiatric facility made the threatening call

GLEN ROCK, NJ — Police have determined the origin of a threatening phone call made against a borough facility Aug. 20.
Detective Jim Calaski determined that the call was placed by a former Glen Rock resident who is confined to a psychiatric facility in Vermont, said Chief Dean Ackermann.
An operator at the Northwest Bergen Central Dispatch communications center received a suspicious phone call at 9:19 a.m. on the non-emergency Glen Rock Police line, Ackermann previously said.

The caller alluded to a possible threat against a "school building or active public facility," the chief said. The threat was not specific and authorities could not determine if it was credible or not. Authorities could not immediately determine where the call came from, he said.
The psychiatric facility is handling the incident, Ackermann said.
