Glen Rock Academic Award Winners Persevere Despite Coronavirus

Glen Rock High School Principal John Arlotta praised the students for their achievements during what has been an unusual academic year.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — The 2020 academic year will be a memorable one for graduating seniors, but not in the typical way.

The coronavirus has caused modifications in the way students will graduate, how they learned, how they finished their athletic careers and how they'll celebrate their transition to the next steps of their lives.

One thing remained consistent in Glen Rock, however, as the 2019-2020 academic year awards were released by the school yesterday.

Principal John Arlotta praised the award winners for their perseverance in the face of the coronavirus, and how it affected their learning environment.

"I think our students and teachers are doing a great job despite the conditions we are all facing," he said.
