Glen Rock Cop Extinguishes Fire In His Police Car

Small electrical fire broke out in the car's trunk.

A Glen Rock police officer extinguished a small fire in his patrol car’s trunk Monday night, fire officials said.

A post on the Glen Rock Volunteer Fire Department’s Facebook page said that firefighters were dispatched to a vehicle fire at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Berry Place at about 8:10 p.m.

A Glen Rock police officer on patrol noticed smoke coming from his police car’s trunk, the post stated.

The officer used a fire extinguisher to put the small electrical fire out, the post stated. There was no major damage to the police vehicle.
