Glen Rock High School Ranked The 10th Most Challenging High School In New Jersey

The Washington Post factored in things like the number of students who passed at least one college-level test.

The Washington Post has listed the nation’s most challenging high schools and Glen Rock High School is on the list.

The school was ranked 10th in New Jersey, seven spots higher than last year’s ranking of 22, and has an index of 2.9.

A school’s index score is the number of college-level tests given at a school in the previous calendar year divided by the number of graduates.

Ninety-four percent of graduates are attending four-year colleges while 99.5 percent of students graduate in four years. The average SAT score is 1,768. The average ACT score is 25.6.

Schools were ranked using various criteria, including the percentage of students who passed at least one college-level test in high school and the percentage of students who come from families who qualify for lunch subsides.
