Glen Rock To Hold 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony Friday

Ceremony at Veteran's Park Friday to be held in memory of the 11 Glen Rock residents who died in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

A remembrance ceremony for the 11 Glen Rock residents and more than 2,900 other victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks will be held at Veteran’s Park Friday.

Finnertyspacer.gif, 33, Joseph Francis Holland IIIspacer.gif, 32, Damian Meehanspacer.gif, 32, David R. Meyerspacer.gif, 57, Craig D. Montanospacer.gif, 38, Richard Morganspacer.gif, 63, and Daniel M. Van Laerespacer.gif, 46, were killed in the attacks.

The ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m., rain or shine. The Glen Rock Assistance Council & Endowment is sponsoring the ceremony.

Speakers will include Jon Cole, Mayor John van Keuren, and Roger Spencer. Dan Fontana will perform the music.
