Glen Rock Little Free Library A Gift To Mom
Fran Kaufmann is a librarian, and a 40-year Glen Rock resident. On Thursday, the borough cut the ribbon on a perfect gift from her kids.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — A little free library got the ribbon cutting treatment at Borough Hall on Thursday, celebrating the installation of the library at Harding Plaza, and an apt gift for mom.
Fran Kaufmann, a 40-year resident of Glen Rock, received the library as a gift from her children and their spouses. In her gift to the town, she decided to share it with them
Kaufmann credits the borough and the Arts Council, for helping the little library bloom. After reaching out to Lenora Benjamin, Borough Administrator, it was placed on the agenda of a public council meeting, and unanimously accepted.

To make the library stand out, Kaufmann got connected with Glen Rock artist Soo Kim through Amy Martin, the co-president of the Arts Council. Kim painted the library, and the public works department installed it.
Kaufmann has already begun the collection with a selection of fiction, non-fiction and children’s books. She hopes the community will explore what’s there, and add to the library to "inspire and encourage readers and non-readers to expand their horizons."
