The Bergen County LGBTQ+ Alliance determined that the borough "does the most for the LGBTQ+ community." They also graded other towns.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — One community in Bergen County ranks higher than the rest when it comes to the support they offer to the LGBTQ+ community, according to a new "Pride Report Card".
The Bergen County LGBTQ+ Alliance released the new scorecard recently, and Glen Rock ranks above the rest of the county.
At an Aug. 25 public session of Glen Rock's borough council, the President of the Bergen County LGBTQ+ Alliance, Anthony Torres, presented Mayor Kristine Morieko with BCLA's community service award.

The award recognizes that, of all seventy-plus towns in Bergen County, Glen Rock "does the most for the LGBTQ+ community."
Torres highlighted the many elements in Glen Rock – from a very active Pride Committee to an LGBTQ+ police liaison – that make members of the LGBTQ+ community "feel safe and welcomed in the town."

Though Morieko received the award, she also distributed credit to others in a statement posted to social media.
"So proud of Glen Rock and all it’s efforts to assist the Bergen County LGBTQ+ community," she said.
"Special thank you to Holly Snyder Goshin and Julie Krider Weber for all you have done to put Glen Rock Pride on the map. It is due to your tireless, selfless and determined efforts that we can stand taller knowing we are leading by example in our Borough."
According to the Alliance, the scorecard was developed because "LGBTQ+ people need to know where their resources are and who is supportive of them and their issues."
In compiling the list, the Alliance contacted 58 of the 70 municipalities in the county. The report card is available here.
