Glen Rock Police Administer Narcan After Car Runs Off Road: Cops

Police found an unconscious man behind the wheel Friday afternoon. They were able to revive him, and he was taken to an area hospital.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — Glen Rock police officers had to force entry to a vehicle after finding a man unconscious behind the wheel of a Mercedes SUV on Friday afternoon.

Police received a report of an unconscious man behind the wheel on Midwood Road at 1:23 p.m., police said. Officers were unable to wake him up, so they forced their way into the car, removing the man and administering Narcan, police said.

"Upon being revived, care was turned over to arriving paramedics and he was transported by Glen Rock EMS to Valley Hospital in Ridgewood," police said.

One officer suffered minor injuries while forcing entry into the car, but was treated at the scene. He declined further aid, according to police.

An investigation found that the SUV the man was driving had run off the roadway, and caused damage to a Midwood Road residence's front lawn, police said.
