Glen Rock Police Earn $5000 In One Day From Checkpoint

A checkpoint at Maple Avenue and Harding Plaza gained the department a hefty haul on March 27.

Fines levied at a single traffic checkpoint in Glen Rock have earned the police department over $5000, according to a NorthJersey.com report.

Police stopped 48 vehicles at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Harding Plaza on March 27, the report states.

Citations were given for documentation issues, proper safety equipment, driving with an obstructed view, not wearing a seatbelt, tail light issues, illegally tinted windows, noisy mufflers, and “unapproved equipment,” according to the report.

Documentation charges were the most financially significant, earning $900, according to the report.
