Glen Rock Police Officer Injured During DWI Arrest: GRPD
The officer was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, but was released the same night, law enforcement officials said.
GLEN ROCK, NJ — A Glen Rock police officer was injured during the arrest process of a woman cited for driving while intoxicated, police officials confirmed.
During the course of investigating a motor vehicle accident on South Highwood Avenue, police arrested a 52-year-old Glen Rock woman for DWI.
Police Lt. Frank Riggio told Patch that the accident itself involved a moving vehicle striking a parked car, and the officer wasn't involved in the crash.

Riggio said the driver had already been detained by the time the officer sustained an injury, which didn't appear to be serious.
The police officer was eventually transported to Hackensack University Medical Center, but released shortly after being treated at the hospital.
