Glen Rock Woman Scammed Out Of $20,000: Police
The woman became suspicious after she transferred the money.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — A woman was the victim of a nearly $20,000 phone scam Thursday, police said.
A Gaynor Place resident reported just after 2 p.m. Thursday she was the victim of identity theft and fraud, police said.
Police said the woman received a phone call from someone claiming to be with the IRS. She was told to make two wire transfers totaling $19,750 or else a warrant would be issued for her arrest, police said.

The woman transferred the money, became suspicious, and called police, authorities said.
Glen Rock detectives are investigating.
